In all honesty, I can’t imagine my life without the Internet in it. I know that I would still be able to function if the Internet suddenly disappeared one day, but it has become such a major component in my life that it seems like things would be so much more difficult without it. Luckily, I don’t think the Internet is going anywhere anytime soon, so hopefully life without it is not something that any of us will ever have to seriously worry about.

Although my initial use of the Internet was limited to email and checking out the news every now and then, it has become a much more valuable resource to me over time. For example, my family and I are taking a trip in two months, so I have been using the Internet to make all of our travel arrangements. Instead of calling multiple car rental companies to find out the prices of the different vehicles that they have in stock, I can type the details of my trip into one price comparison website, and in a matter of seconds, I have the prices that are being offered for different vehicles from every one of the major car rental companies.
